Were all goals achieved this week?
No, I wasn't able to get up at 5.00am on Sunday; I woke up at 10.00am instead. However, I don't see this as a problem because a) it's only one day our of seven, and b) I was babysitting on Saturday night and ended up being awake for almost twenty hours straight. I didn't get home until 1.30am Sunday morning, so I knew it wasn't going to be practical for me to get up at 5.00am. However, this is the only thing I didn't manage to do this week, so I'm really happy with that.
Was progress made on 'The Big Six'?
  • Flat Splits: Front splits are now down to 199 degress (R) and 190 degrees (L). A slight regression on the right leg, but the left is getting lower. I am not concerned, as it is the final few centimetres of splits that are the hardest to get. I have also noticed that I slide further on the tiles at home when I stretch, so I get lower than on the carpet at Aerial Divas, so my range currently varies between 199 - 190 degrees on both sides. Have stretched three times this week, which is consistent with my stretch goals.
  • Pass Inter Lyra: Aerial Divas is not open, so I haven't been able to practice this week.
  • Start my meditation business: Have looked into the process for applying for an ABN and started jotting down ideas for names. Planning to do my final assessment for my course in February.
  • Do a pull-up overhand: Have been working on shoulder strengthening at Crunch, as well as core strength and stability. Am also working on machine assisted pull ups, eventually moving onto band assisted pull ups when the time is right. Have no reliable measure of progress yet, but feeling stronger and seeing some definition in my arms, particularly my shoulders.
  • Return to EP: Still working towards attaining my driver's license, have done some drives with my father and am still having regular lessons with a driving instructor. Once I have my license I will be able to go back to EP, but I will continue working out at Crunch in the meantime.
  • Meditate Daily at 5.30am: Only one day a week where I haven't meditated at 5.30am, but have meditated every day.
How do you feel about this week?
I'm really pleased with my progress this week; of course, it's only a week into the new year, and so my motivation is still high. I'm looking forward to seeing how having the planner helps as I move through the year, and if it continues to motivate and keep my accountable.

Hey this is a really cool idea, I spotted your post on insta and wanted to ask did you make the journal template yourself?

Hi Neil, thanks for the comment. Yes, I made this template myself on Microsoft word.
